SHEERNESS DIRECTORIES HELD

In addition to the two directory publishers featured here, there was also another very early publisher, being T. M. Rigg, that is recorded as publishing directories in 1862 & 1863. There may, of course, have been more, but these 2 volumes are the only ones held in public archives. So many of the early Victorian directories have been lost forever. Another volume is recorded in public archives, having been produced in 1904 by the Kent Messenger. Again, if any more were published is unknown. Another single volume with the same status was published in 1909 by W. J. Cole.
